2015 reading stats

I have a written list of all the books I’ve read going back to 1984, when I was still in high school! A few years ago I started tracking books digitally as well, because I was interested in the recommendations features and community reviews. But I love the stats and pictures. I’ve used Shelfari and Goodreads, but Goodreads is easier to use in some respects, and it has better graphics as well.

(It also is TERRIBLE with how it tracks books you reread, not including them in your current year, so I have started counting each book I reread as a new one and adding the reread date in the notes—which removes it from the previous years’ counts, so the only year on here likely ever to be accurate is the current one. Am I the only person who rereads a lot??)

So the stats for 2016: 37 books, 11,547 pages.

I’ll have to do better for 2016!

And here are some of my favorites or new books I read for the first time this year. I do love seeing all the covers lined up this way, especially now that I read more library books on my Kindle, so I don’t actually have all the books around the house. I really miss that! Here’s to another good reading year!

The doctor is OUT!

I will be on sabbatical in the Spring 2016 semester, so I am away from campus until 15 August 2016. If you need help in the meantime, please contact Dr. Ron Cox (HH118, roncox@mailbox.sc.edu, 803-313-7101).

I look forward to seeing you again in August!
